Last season’s club top scorer Ben Greenop has announced his intention to leave Ashville ahead of the upcoming season. The former Manchester United youth player has agreed terms with fellow NWCFL First Division South side Sandbach United. The move is set to be ratified when player registrations open on July 1st.
Greenop finished as Ashville’s top scorer last season with 15 goals to his name. Amongst those was the memorable birthday hat trick against Droylsden back in August, his first counties hat trick which also saw him win the NWCFL August Player Of The Month Award.
Everyone at the club would like to place on record its sincere gratitude to Ben Greenop for his service to the club over the last 3 years and we all wish him the very best of luck for the future.
