Junior Sikahowla becomes Ste Scott’s fifth summer signing, committing to Ashville for the 2024/2025 season.

The talented 23 year old joins Ashville after coming through the Robbie Fowler Academy before spells with Daten FC, St Helens Town, Marine Under 23’s and Litherland Remyca Reserves. 

The versatile South African native can play on either wing as well as in the midfield and is another exciting addition to Ste Scott’s arsenal this summer. Success is nothing unfamiliar to Junior who has won multiple leagues and cups in his career so far but when asked about his proudest achievement his answer spoke volumes about the youngsters steely determination: “My proudest achievement is my next achievement”.

Sikahowla has been training with Ashville since the beginning of pre-season and has nothing but positive things to say about his new club: “My first impressions of Ashville is it’s a very good club with great players who work hard and the coaching staff pushing us to be better. I really love the environment and atmosphere”.

The opportunity to play first team football at counties level was also a big appeal for Junior: “What attracted me to Ashville in the first place was the level, it’s a step up for me. I want to push myself and improve my skills to make a mark in this league”.

Sikahowla is looking forward to playing in front of the Ashville faithful and it’s safe to say the clubs latest recruit has high ambitions for the season ahead: “I’m glad to be on board this season and my goal is to help the team win the league. I can’t wait to play in front of the great fans of Ashville”.
