Ashville Football Club are delighted to announce the signing of defender Connor Harland from FC Bootle.

The versatile 25 year old becomes Ste Scott’s sixth summer signing following the arrivals of Mark Madden, Jono Cahill, Joel Kelly, Junior Sikahowla and Lucas Gorman last month. Connor joins Ashville after a 5 year spell with FC Bootle where he played under Steven Scott and is looking forward to joining up with the gaffer once again; I was initially attracted to Ashville to play under Ste who I’ve spent a long time playing under and really developed as a player and personally off the field as well”.

The appeal of returning to the NWCFL was another big factor that drew Harland to Ashville after previously playing at this level with Ashton Town; “Obviously going a step up and back into the North West Counties is something I’m looking forward to as well”.

Harland has also had small stints with BRNESC & Aintree Villa but he considers his time at FC Bootle to be the highlight of his career so far; “My proudest achievement has to be the back to back promotions and league wins with FC Bootle in the West Cheshire League and going unbeaten during that time”. The 25 year old, who hails from Maghull, has been impressed with what he has seen from his new teammates so far stating “First impressions have been really positive, there’s a good group of lads and management team who’ve made me feel welcome in my time here so far”.

The defender is eager to impress the fans and help achieve promotion with Ashville this season saying; “I’m looking forward to getting started and hopefully I’m able to play a big part in pushing the club further forwards towards our aims this season, UP THE VILLA!”.

Welcome to Ashville, Connor Harland!
