Ashville Football Club is delighted to announce the return of midfielder Lewis Willingham from Vauxhall Motors.
Lewis re-signs with Ashville after a short spell at the club last year before his consistently fantastic performances led to a move to Vauxhall Motors.
The new management and ambitious goals was what lured Willingham back to Ray Parker Stadium: “I’m excited about the project that Scotty is building here and I really want to be part of it”.
‘Willow’ as he’s affectionately known, has been on Ste Scott’s radar since taking the managers position with the Ashville gaffer being a big fan: “Willow is a proven quality player who massively improved this talented squad.” He continued: “Lewis showed a desire to return to Ashville which was great to hear and I’ve only heard good things about Willow since coming here so I looked into him a bit more and saw just how talented he is. I’m really looking forward to working with him”.
Willingham added that he’s “Happy to be back” and that he “Can’t wait to put on the shirt again”. The midfielder is keen to win some trophies this season saying: “I don’t see what’s stopping us from winning trophies and having success this season, we have a really good squad”.
Willingham will be hoping to make his second Ashville debut tomorrow when Villa travel to Stockport Georgians.
Welcome back to Ashville, Lewis Willingham!
