A five person club panel have voted for our August Player Of The Month and it brings us great pleasure to announce Jamie Owen as our first recipient of the award this season.

Jamie has been a force between the sticks in his first month with the club, bagging himself three clean sheets throughout the month. Jamie made his debut against Cheadle Heath Nomads as injury cover for Jack Reynolds but has since put together an impressive string of performances to retain the number 1 jersey.

The 17 year old from Manchester was in the sticks for all 5 of our victories in August and manager Steven Scott has been left impressed by the teenagers performances so far: “Jamie is a great lad, very mature for his age and has such an infectious professionalism about him. He came in on very short notice as injury cover and took to it like a duck to water and has proven himself to be a top, top keeper for us so far”.

Jamie was formally recognised as the August Player Of The Month by Media Officer, John Parker, following last weekends home game against Abbey Hulton United as pictured above.
