Manager Steven Scott has added 24 year old centre back, Corey Morgan, to his squad for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season.
Morgan arrives at Ashville following a spell with Winstanley Warriors. The Wigan native has previously won the Lancashire Cup and is looking to add to his trophy collection at Ashville: “I can’t see why we can’t push to win trophies with the really good side that we’ve got, we have points on the board already in the league and are right up there so we just need to build momentum and keep picking up points”.
The young centre back was also impressed by Ste Scott’s long term ambitions for the club as he revealed how he come to be an Ashville player: “The attraction to Ashville came from the project set out by Scotty of winning games and progressing through the leagues and I really want to be a part of that”.
Morgan is looking forward to meeting his new teammates and being out on the pitch: “I haven’t actually met the lads yet but can’t wait to get involved fully with the squad, from my conversation with Scotty and having done a little bit of research, Villa seem to have a great set of lads who’s first priority is to win football matches and enjoy it whilst doing so”.
Corey is also looking forward to playing in front of the Villa faithful stating: “I can’t wait to play in front of the fans and show my skill at this level and that starts with 3 points on Saturday”.
