Ashville Football Club are delighted to confirm the signing of talented young winger James Price who steps up from our under 21’s
The 19 year old is a former academy prospect having played in the academies of Airbus UK Broughton and Chester FC before joining Ashville. The youngster has also represented both Wirral and Merseyside at schoolboy level showcasing his exciting potential.
James has been taking part in first team training recently and after impressing Steven Scott, Price was also left impressed with his new teammates saying: “Everyone is very supportive of each other and always helping each other to improve”.
Price has attracted attention from many clubs across the north west and North Wales but the allure of the long term project at his local club convinced the youngster to sign his first team papers: “Being local played a huge part as well as wanting to challenge and prove myself in a tough league against good teams”. Price then continued: “I want to improve myself and progress from the under 21’s and coming into the first team seemed like the best option for me as I enter this next chapter of my career”.
And our newest signing isn’t short on ambition: “My ambitions are to cement my place in the team every week and to help the club in the race for promotion”. The 19 year old also gave us a glimpse into what we can expect to see from him: “As an attacking player I want to use my ability to score and create goals to help the team whenever I’m on the pitch. I want to make a lasting impact”.
The larger crowds at senior level also won’t deter Price, in fact the youngster can’t wait to get out on the pitch in front of the Villa faithful with whom he shares this message: “I can’t wait to get my chance to play in front of you all at Ray Parker Stadium and show you my qualities and what I am about. Hopefully I can help us achieve the results we need and want and along the way make some unforgettable memories for this amazing football club. Up The Villa!”
