Ashville progressed to the Edward Case Cup semi final following an entertaining tie against Euxton Villa
Euxton started the game the brighter side but after 20 minutes the game became evenly matched. Ashville had two great chances to take the lead through Lewis Moynes and then Mark Madden both being denied from close range.
Just as Ashville started to find their rhythm the away side struck the first blow when Kai Shorrock headed in a corner just before half time.
Ashville came out all guns blazing to start the second half and turned the game on its head inside two minutes on the hour mark. Matty Scoullar scored his first Ashville goal heading home the equaliser from a corner before Mark Madden converted from the spot following Oliver Lombards foul on Peter Morgan
Euxton put the home side on the back foot and found an equaliser on 80 minutes when Dan Singleton found the top corner from 14 yards out
Neither side could find a winner in regulation time so it was down to penalties. A fantastic save from debutant Richard Cowderoy was complimented by Josh Maldon, Matty Scoullar, Ben Dooley and Peter Morgan all scored their penalties alongside Jack Colburn who netted the decisive spot kick to send Ashville into the semi finals
Ashville will now face one of; Stafford Town, Holker Old Boys, Cheadle Heath Nomads or Atherton LR with the latter two facing off on Monday evening. Draw date for the semi-finals TBC
